I found CrossFit while still in college at the University of Hartford. I was bored with the normal gym routine and needed a change. A friend I wrestled with in high school turned me on to CrossFit.com and told me to try a workout. I still remember my first workout, Helen, and the feeling I was left with. I knew from that day that I was hooked and have been doing it for the past 6 years. I love the challenge CrossFit provides on a daily basis and I love helping people improve themselves and conquer their personal challenges. Today, I’ve shifted a lot of my personal athletic goals towards Olympic Lifting and I specialize in helping my clients master these lifts.

CrossFit has been a huge part of my life for the past four years.
Prior to starting myphoto 4CrossFit training, I was injured while running cross-country as a freshman in college. I tore my labrum in my hip and developed bone spurs. Because my injury was rare, it took over 7 years to find a doctor who could diagnose me and a surgeon who could fix it. By the time my hip healed, I was completely out of shape and thoroughly missed playing competitive sports. Not only did CrossFit strengthen my hip, it also gave me the thrill of being a competitor again. My involvement in CrossFit completely transformed my life: I even met my now husband at a CrossFit gym! My goal is to help others become their best self and to empower people with the knowledge they need to live a healthy and fulfilling life. What I want others to know is that while CrossFit may seem intimidating at first, everyone can do it no matter what their background and that the benefits of CrossFit are unparalleled.

I am a former collegiate lacrosse player who found CrossFit after graduating from Alfred University. My passion is nutrition (and cooking) and I love helping my athletes recognize the role it plays in fueling their bodies. “Putting bad food in your body is like putting sugar in an engine. It just won’t run right.” The most rewarding thing for me is to see our athletes reach their goals in both the gym and life. Almost daily, I am humbled by their feats of strength and their ability to persevere and overcome obstacles. And the great thing is that we get to experience all of these triumphs as a community. This is what makes the CrossFit experience truly unique. Most importantly, I met my wife, Katie through CrossFit!

I had been in the Army for 10 years when I finally got turned on to Crossfit in August 2011. I was looking for some way to get in better shape and one of my Army buds suggested I try it. I immediately loved it; the workouts were tough but scalable to my fitness level. I started seeing improvements right away which helped me for my upcoming deployment. While deployed to Afghanistan, I started assistant coaching one of the classes at Kandahar Crossfit. I really enjoyed helping others improve and watching them grow as athletes. I am excited to continue my journey at Rebel Fitness and grow with this great community.

I’ve always been interested in health and fitness. So much so that I’ve dedicated my life to it. I’m currently studying at Dominican College in order to become a Physical Therapist. So much of what I do as a CrossFit coach relates to my chosen profession. I love being an asset to the members who have physical therapy questions that are related to their training. Helping people become better athletes and keeping them healthy brings me a lot of joy. In addition to coaching, I am compete in Olympic lifting and recently qualified for Universities. Having this competitive experience helps me to guide those members who are looking to become competitors. Also, I’m Thai royalty.
